The Costume Society is seeking someone with great leadership and ambassadorial skills to be its new Chair. Could this be you?
Serving from the Society’s Annual General Meeting (5th July 2025) for a period of five years you will be responsible for the strategic leadership and governance of this UK Charity which is committed to promoting the study, exploration and appreciation of dress throughout the ages and from across the world.
Working with the Society’s Executive Committee of Trustees and Appointed Officers you will take the Society into the next exciting phase of its long history including being able to distribute more grants and awards to support the dress history and the creative sector more than ever before.
This is a UK Charity Trustee role and is therefore a voluntary position. Here is a detailed role description.
