In 2009, Berthe Fortin, an MA Costume Design for Performance at the London College of Fashion was awarded the Yarwood Research Grant towards her dissertation on ‘Gender Definition and Performance: Cross-dressing and gender representation in costume design for the stage from the 17th to 21st century.’
