The editors of Costume are looking for dress history articles, c. 8,000-9,000 words, which present current research into contemporary and historic dress to publish in 2023 and beyond. We publish articles from a broad chronological period and with a worldwide remit, maintaining a balance between practice and theory with a focus on the social significance of dress.
