A Visit to the Wolsey Menswear Archive in Leicestershire

Saturday, 28 May

As part of our 2022 focus on Menswear, we are delighted to invite you to our next event – A Visit to the Wolsey Menswear Archive in Leicestershire!

The Wolsey Archive of advertising and marketing covers over a century of production and sales by the heritage British clothing brand Wolsey. Established in the 1740s, Wolsey is one of the oldest existing textile companies in the world with its roots in Leicester! Now an internationally renowned brand, Wolsey sells women’s, men’s and children’s fine gauge knitwear, underwear, and hosiery.

In the Archive, you will find decades of images of men’s under and outer garments forming a unique reference collection of stunning original artwork and printed material. Thereby, you will be guided by Archivist Adam Goodwin and Collections and Learning Manager Philip Warren, who is also our Chair.
