The Elizabeth Hammond Grant: past winners

The Costume Society is very pleased to announce that the Elizabeth Hammond Conservation Grant ( formerly Award ) currently has £5,000 available for grants to support the conservation of costume or costume related textiles. Guidance notes and application forms can be downloaded by visiting the Awards page of the Costume Society website or the Support and Grants / External Conservation Grants section on the Museum Development East Midlands website IMMEDIATE FUNDING IS AVAILABLE NOW FOR SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS FOR ANY AMOUNT UP TO £5,000.

The images show past winners of the award, including the Fashion Museum Bath. The award made it possible for the Fashion Museum to have a delicate lace gown made for Queen Charlotte in about 1800 conserved for their exhibition of lace in fashion in 2017. The dress is currently on show at Kew Palace.
