The University of Bristol Theatre Collection is one of the most extensive collections and archives of British theatre history and Live Art in the world.
It was founded in 1951 as a resource for the first university drama department and the collection covers the period from the 16th to 21st centuries.
The collection includes patterns, costumes, costume designs and reference books.
For this Behind the Scenes visit the curator will show us some archive treasures – including designs and a few costume accessories.
