Connoisseur visit to Cosprop
'The Connoisseur visit to Cosprop saw eleven of us meeting on 9th April. After a warm welcome and introduction we were all wowed by the wonders that were revealed to us as we squeezed between the rails of exquisite costumes, racks of rainbow coloured shoes from all periods, top hats of every shape, boxes of wonderful trims waiting to be utilised and so much more. We were shown examples from John Bright’s original costume collection alongside the garments that had been inspired by them. We were all fascinated by the hat room seeing such beauties being created and the skills and flair being shown in Susan Hardy’s workroom. What a wonderful afternoon.' Liz Booty
Come and visit Cosprop, the film, TV and theatre costumiers founded by John Bright.
This small group will get a visual treat as you get a tour of the workrooms where they produce couture garments for new productions. There are also two museum rooms packed with original garments, a jewellery room and an exhibition department where you will see some iconic pieces. This is a fantastic opportunity to go behind the scenes at this iconic costumiers.
